SEARCHING THE DATABASE .....

Your database searches can target "Horses" or "Races". In either case you will be able to drill down further to the race results for a horse, or the horses in a race.

There are many ways to search our database of horses and race results. It is up to your ingenuity. Happy searching !

Searching for Horses...

In the menu bar select "Search for Horse" and then next you can select by Horse Name, Sire, Dam, Broodmare Sire, Breeder, Purchaser, Owner, Trainer or Advanced. In the data box enter part or all of the name you are searching by. Then click "GO".

Use Stakes Races to select group and listed races. Initially you will see stakes races for the past month or so but you can make your own list. You can call up details of any race in the list and then can drill down on a specific runner. You can re-order the list of stakes races by clicking on the column heading.

Use Advanced to select horses using multiple criteria into a list where you can select qualifying horses one by one. You can then see all the races in the database for a selected Horse.

Advanced example: See all horses bred by Coolmore in 2004, pick one horse and drill down to its winning performances.

Searching for Races...

In the menu bar select "Search for Race" and then next you can select by Date, Racecourse, Race Name or Advanced. In the data box enter the date (e.g. 24-Mar-2008) or part or all of the Racecourse name or Race Name you are searching by. If using "Date" you can use the date picker that will appear beside the data box. Then click "GO".

Use Advanced to select races using multiple criteria into a list where you can select qualifying races one by one. You can then see all the horses in a race and drill down on their details.

Advanced example: See all 2YO races at Randwick in 2009.

Advanced example: See all races in 2009 where the winner was sired by Encosta de Lago.
